Standardbreds

We have four Standardbred horses, all retired from the racetrack. I never intended to have any large horses. They just seemed to end up here and I guess we will all grow old together. Caring for them will keep us young, as they are a pleasure to be around.

Lost Love

Lost Love

Lost Love (Lovey) was destined for the slaughterhouse when I bought her. She had not gotten pregnant for a couple of years so she was of no value to her owner. We have had her for about 4 years. She is 18 years old and a beautiful horse in excellent shape and a delight to be around. People do not believe her age. She is the first horse I am not afraid to be around. She is broke to saddle.

Miss Trefield

Miss Trefield

Miss Trefield is also known as Katie or Tank. Katie has had 13 foals. She is 20. She is in excellent condition and broke to saddle. She is probably the biggest horse I have ever been around. The people that ride her just love her.

Kathy 20 year old Standard Bred

Kathy

Kathy came from parts unknown. She is approximately 18 to 20 years old. She was skin and bones when we bought her for $250.00 She is blind in one eye and by the scars on her, not treated very well. She just wants to be loved. She is very gentle. She is slowly putting on weight. We just feed and groom her and love her.

Jet's Victory

Jet's Victory

Jenny is 7 years old. She never quite made it on to the track. Her owner retired her to a good home. Jenny is being broke to ride. She likes women more than she likes men and she does have a mind of her own. She is in excellent shape.
